Mexican cuisine is underrated by many of us north of the border. This reminds me of some of my Mexican trips.
I've been enjoying the new Shins CD, which contains some superlative singles.
Standouts; Sleeping The Night Away, Australia with its brilliant XTCisms, and the Morrissey-meets-The-Beach-Boys Phantom Limb.
I was first introduced to them as a Portland, OR band, but I've since read that they're originally from Albuquerque. Between Calexico (from Tucson), and Denver's Devotchka I'm noticing a strong personal bias toward southwestern US bands these days.
Most humorous: Susan Serandon considers running for president as a Libertarian. (also chuckle worthy, a suggestion in the comments of a Serandon/Bob Barr ticket)
Credibility rating; 1.2 on a scale of 10.
If you can't persuade voters to your side, cuss at 'em instead. I'd pay money to see this speech delivered on TV.
