The Kerry thing, I mean. But I have one thing to add. Spake Kerry:
"Education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well," Kerry told students in Pasadena while campaigning for California gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides."If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq"
Of course the Republicans are all over that, a gift-wrapped piece of election season candy.
My first, second, and following impressions are that it was an incredibly stupid thing to say. I'm struggling to find equivalently dumb things politicians have said, but I'm stumped. Any ideas? And, any ideas on how someone that dense could have won a major party presidential nomination?

Indeed, no President named "George Bush" has ever mangled what he was trying to say. IOKIYR.
Also, Poland was never dominated by the Soviet Union.
