Something Smells In Ellis County

Speaking of Texas, here's a disturbing story.

Seems local authorities can't get enough of a local Libertarian activist and candidate, Philip Smart. They are so fond of him, in fact, that they keep finding ways to host him in county lockup. Especially around election time, and on rather flimsy charges.

Caveat: Mr. Smart, from what I can tell, seems a tad overly paranoid. (The Freemasons control everything?) So I'll wait for further confirmation of the story. But if even a portion of it is true, the local gendarmerie is in serious need of outside investigation.

Here's a bit of corroboration from the Ellis County Observer.

Hat Tip: Mike Nelson.

"Here's a bit of corroboration from the Ellis County Observer."

From there: "...Smart was arrested last year for allegedly waving a knife in Waxahachie’s Wells Fargo bank and harassing a bank clerk who just so happened to be related to one of the chief Waxahachie PD investigators (Cyndy Wiser), who just so happened to have an alleged security tape showing Smart conduct this bizarre behavior."

A security tape of something happening in a bank: yep, that sure is pretty incredible. Who could believe that that could "just happen" to happen?

(I have no opinion otherwise as to any of this.)

Gary, as I read it that tape never has seen the light of day. But I'm hoping for more authoritative evidence either way.
