Medical Marijuana Reactions

Alan Schoenfeld, Shoe Salesman:
Well, can't these cancer patients paint, play sports, or listen to music instead of doing drugs? That's what they taught us in health class."

Daniel S. Korobkin, Podiatirst:
"Dude, the small-government-advocating, states-rights-supporting conservatives must've been totally high when they wrote that decision."

Robert Yablon, Banker:
"The Court made the right decision. Once you legalize the medical use of marijuana, it's only a matter of time before you start seeing medical use of harder narcotics, like morphine."

Selected from these.

For me, and I`m a druggie who thinks legalising drugs is not a good idea(except pot), because of the problems created by the drug war, just go ahead and legalise them.
Instead of dragging every american through the drug fear quagmire,,ie, drug tests, anti-drug paranoia commercials, blaming every crime committed on crack and such, quit making everyone suffer for the actions of a few.
Undoubtedly there will be an immediate high rate of overdoses and deaths, but so what? Why should anyone care any more or less than if those people are dead or incarcerated?
As it stands it`s a neverending train wreck, and as long as alcohol is legal it`s the highest order of hypocrisy.

Why are the puritans so fucking scared of pot? "Someone may drive under the influence of it!" Well, someone may drive under the influence of antihistamines, and that is just as dangerous.
