Ari Armstrong, answering Tom Mauser's letter to the NRA:

Hunters don't use a 9 mm to shoot a deer, because it's too small a caliber. However, hunting isn't mentioned in the Second Amendment, and it isn't central to the argument that gun ownership is a right.

As a side note, it's too bad Mr Mauser hasn't seen fit to focus on the people so far out of society and acceptable means of solving their personal problems that they turned to murder. Why, Mr Mauser, aren't you after the disfunctional families, religious organizations, state family/child agencies, mental health professionals, and yourself for not recognizing the two obviously demented individuals in your midst? Could it be due to some latent anger at yourself for permitting your child to be unprotected? Have you lobbied to have armed guards installed at the schools?
