The more cynical among us suspect that someone in the Democratic party has a connection in the Denver Post. I guess that wouldn't be much of a shock, would it?
Some Democrats suspect the same thing. I don't know why anyone at the newspaper would have a strong bias toward any of the Democratic contenders, but Colorado Luis calls this a 'hit piece.'
Actually, I'm convinced by the commenter on my site who has the goods on the Post ownership's donations to Bush/Cheney. It would be easy enough for a lazy reporter to go with stuff that some other campaign fed him or her.
Posted by: Luis at January 30, 2004 09:28 AM I don't doubt that Post ownership contributes to Republican causes. I don't think that would stop individuals at the Post from promoting various Democratic interests. In fact, that seems to be a common situation in many American newspapers.
It may mean little to you, but I consider myself a neutral observer in these sorts of disputes. I dislike Democrats and Republicans in eaqual measure.
