David Bernstein considers, and rejects, 'classical liberal,' 'market liberal,' and 'political pacifist,' although I kind of like that last one.
Lately I've been using the term 'non-leftist liberal,' especially when talking with leftists. This does three useful things. It points out that liberal and leftist are not synonymous, as is generally thought by many Americans. It reinforces the fact that libertarians are not right wingers, and as a bonus, generally confuses everyone.
In a perfect world, whenever North Korea tries to test a long range missile, it will fail and fall to earth after less than a minute of flight.
