Walter -- Actually it *was* the music. I could give a crap about a singer's politics; even most political singers (other than wishing they weren't singing about politics). But if he was still cranking out political songs like "The River" and "Nebraska" instead of "The Ghost of Tom Joad" I'd sign up to any damned fool politics he'd like, just so long as I could hear the purty & troubling songs.
I don't care what either of you say, "Mary's Place" is a heartbreaking masterpiece. And it's only three years old. Haven't heard D&D, so not defending it.
