Hunting Season Is Here

Wait for it: I predict that less than 72 hours from now the anti-gun lobby will be front and center, frothing at the mouth, eyes wide, as they point and howl and screech about how this is PROOF the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution should be done away with.

No, they won't be that direct. What they have been doing (since some of the details were released) is screaming about the evil "assault weapon" (a legal definition which thankfully no longer exists - there's no practical definition of that term) or "assault rifle" (which has a practical definition but is misapplied since being capable of fully automatic fire is one of the criteria) used by the murderer to do his thing.

You'll see this as an example of why the "assault weapon" ban should be reinstated & strengthened. (strengthened since the SKS wasn't covered by the original AWB). There'll also be much talk of what people "need" to go hunting with the implication that everything else should be banned.

But they won't call for the 2nd Amendment's repeal - not since most of them have been denying that it confers any Right to an individual. They'll just restate their view thqat it only protects the National Guard from being disarmed by the feds.

Well, just today, as I write this, Channel 9 News, an NBC grunt, reported a black SUV was responsible for a drive-by shooting at La Academia, a charter school in Denver.

I KNEW IT. Those *&^%% do kill people. Why can't they just use blinds like hunters do to pick off their prey?
